As you can observe from the table, in Spanish the personal pronouns of 1st and 2nd Person of Plural undergo inflection according to the gender. However, Spanish doesn´t make a distinction between his and her: both are translated as su. The courtesy forms of yours are also translated as su, so you´ll have to pay special attention to it!
Hola, esta es María, y esta es su madre
(= la madre de María)
Hola, usted es María, ¿no? Y esta señora, ¿es su madre?
(=la madre de usted)
Unlike English, when a noun forms a plural adding –s, the correspondent posessive plural also forms a plural adding –s:
my flat – mi piso
my_ flats – mis pisos
